2010 - Best Lounge Performer

Readers Pick:

Zowie Bowie

Monte Carlo 3770 Las Vegas Blvd. South

VN:F [1.9.11_1134]
Rating: -19 (from 35 votes)

The peroxide lounge duo of Chris Phillips and Marley Taylor saw as many peaks and valleys as one of Taylor’s low-cut dresses last year. On the upside, the duo reopened The Pub at Monte Carlo as band and goodwill ambassadors. On the downside, the two ended their personal relationship and learned that fronting a big band on Sunday nights was a dream ticket-buyers wouldn’t finance. Maybe this Best of Las Vegas win will cheer them up. Diane Diaz, another Las Vegas survivor, finishes only a few votes behind.

Our Pick:

Sin City Sinners

Multiple venues

VN:F [1.9.11_1134]
Rating: +31 (from 51 votes)

Brent Muscat, the Faster Pussycat veteran with bona fide 80′s hair-metal credentials, turned a kicks band into one of the most rock-solid acts in town. The Sinners have gone on to write and record new material, and they often draw notable guest stars. They also play in locals-friendly places as well as some touristy ones, guaranteeing ’ dare we say ’ nothin’ but a good time.

Let’s not forget these Vegas greats:

JAMM(Jonathan and Music Magic)
Wonderboogie
Phoenix Rock Band

There’s always a crowd and a good time when these bands are on-stage!
