Carson Kitchen adds seasonal items to menu


Carson Kitchen in Downtown Las Vegas continues its unmistakable vibe and award-winning quality with the introduction of new spring menu selections to complement the warmer weather and highlight fresh, seasonal flavors.

Developed by Cory Harwell and Culinary Director John Courtney, Carson Kitchen’s new menu selections include an array of new flatbreads, sandwiches, entrées and desserts, along with handcrafted cocktails. All dishes at Carson Kitchen are priced under $20.

New flatbreads include the pesto margherita with basil pesto, ricotta and tomato filet; and the Pepp on Pepp featuring pepperoni, pepperoncini and cherry pepper. The additions to the sandwich selection include beef belly sliders with pastrami’d beef belly and red cabbage kraut; and the blackened catfish with spring pea slaw and ginger remoulade.

Other new additions include hot oysters featuring a mix of fried oysters, chicken oysters and pork oysters; cheesesteak pierogi with homemade cheese whiz; lamb chops with a pecan crust and topped with mint chimichurri; Little Gem Wedge salad with spring fruit, ricotta salata and prosciutto; asparagus and burrata with green goddess and a beef fat crouton; shrimp dunderi with limoncello, Buddha’s hand and Calabrian chili; and smashed potatoes with butter, dill and more butter.

The newest dessert option is a rhubarb Sammy, featuring rhubarb sorbet, a rhubarb macaron and elderflower whipped cream.

Carson Kitchen’s newest cocktails highlight sweet and savory flavors, and include the 68 + 1 with Woody Creek Potato Gin, raspberry, fresh lemon, egg white and simple syrup; the First Saturday in May with High West Double Rye, mint, smoked honey and Thai bitters; the Daaaammmnn, Daniel! featuring New Amsterdam Vodka, sage, fresh lemon and ginger simple syrup; the Super Tuesday with Barsol Pisco, rhubarb, lychee, fresh lime and egg white; and the Angry Tony made with Del Maguey Vida Mezcal, melon puree, ginger beer, contratto aperitif and basily simple syrup. Each of the new cocktails is priced at $12.

With a build-out rich in reclaimed woods, the intimate restaurant occupies 1,800 square feet on the lower level and rooftop of the old John. E Carson Hotel at 124 S. Sixth St. in downtown Las Vegas. Carson Kitchen is open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. serving lunch and dinner.
