Putting clients and their families first is what Thomas Bowen, president of Therapy Blocks LLC, credits for his clinic winning Best of Las Vegas silver for speech therapy and physical therapy. Next year, he’s determined to score a hat trick with his clinic clinching speech, physical, and occupational therapy recognition.
It’s not out of question for Bowen, who is CEO of Therapy Blocks LLC, along with his wife, Gigi Aranas-Bowen, who is vice president of operations. The couple are confident that the continued training of all their staff has led to exceptional service, which has, in turn, generated considerable word-of-mouth promotion of the therapy center.
The center celebrates its third anniversary in May 2021, and Thomas Bowen expects the center to grow again next year. With 37 therapists on staff as well as two administrators, the center is easily able to provide clinic care, home care and Telehealth options in physical, occupational, and speech therapy. The center offers feeding, sensory and behavior techniques as well.
With clinic care offered on the second floor of the Southern Hills Hospital Medical building, the staff provides skilled care while following all of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention pandemic guidelines.
“We check the CDC website frequently to ensure we’re staying up-to-date on the latest information,” Thomas Bowen said. “We’re wearing masks, face shields, eye protection and gloves for special needs cases such as feedings. We are essential workers so we remain open, but we’re staying hyper vigilant about proper protocol.”
Many times, individuals are medically compromised and have challenges getting outside of their homes and to places like Southern Hills Hospital, so Therapy Blocks offers home care, taking services directly to the client.
“We happily go to them with home care,” Thomas Bowen said. “It’s obviously on a case-by-case basis, but this service takes so much stress and anxiety out of continuing care.”
Therapy Blocks LLC is veteran owned and operated, and it employs veterans and active-duty National Guard members.
Therapy Blocks LLC prides itself on its community involvement, and partners with several local nonprofits. It is heavily vested with Nevada’s foster-care system, for instance.
“My wife and I consider ourselves so blessed, that’s why we give back to the community. It’s a priority for us and we wouldn’t have it any other way,” Thomas Bowen said.
